Today, in the face of unprecedented challenges across higher education, the University of Minnesota’s strategic roadmap — emphasizing our value, distinctiveness and vision — will drive even greater energy for change and progress.
The strategic roadmap builds on MPact 2025 and its important strides in enhancing student success, innovation and discovery; connectivity across our five campuses; financial stewardship; and support for a welcoming and inclusive community in which all can thrive.
The strategic roadmap extends the University’s legacy of excellence, shining a bright light on who we will become, spurred by our greatest existing strengths and our bold ambitions. The roadmap creates a clear and compelling framework for future institutional energy, investment and decision-making. It is an articulation of the University of Minnesota’s strategic imperatives and priorities, with a particular focus on Minnesota and the University’s vital role in the state’s health, well-being and economic prosperity.
While this roadmap guides priorities and focuses our sights, the roadmap can not represent all that the University of Minnesota is already doing and will do over the next five years. As a comprehensive university we will continue to pursue excellence in all that we do.
Above all, this plan is built on the assets, opportunities and deeply unique characteristics that define our state. Our aim is to complement, support and advance those assets for the benefit of all Minnesotans. All elements of the roadmap affirm the University of Minnesota’s enduring land-grant covenant with Minnesota and its people. Our commitment to student access and affordability endures as we seek to grow the impact of this great institution in Minnesota and beyond. The University of Minnesota, rooted in service to Minnesota’s greatest opportunities and needs, will advance well-being around our nation and world.
