Inauguration Special Panel Discussion

Advancing Statewide Health: 
The Vital Role of a Public Research University

As part of a broad, strategic effort to leverage the University of Minnesota’s strong momentum in the health space, President Rebecca Cunningham will convene a special panel discussion prior to her formal inauguration ceremony.

The panel discussion will focus on the powerful role public research universities play in addressing society’s greatest health challenges — from human health and animal health to environmental health, agricultural health and economic health. President Cunningham, who will moderate the discussion, will be joined by panelists in government and higher education who have broad expertise across diverse disciplines.
