Sexual Misconduct Prevention: March 2017 Working Group Recommendations

Friday, April 21, 2017

Earlier this year, President Kaler convened an ad hoc working group to undertake a high-level assessment of the University's education around — and response to — sexual assault, and to recommend immediate actions the University could take to further prevent sexual misconduct on the Twin Cities campus.

In March, the President received five recommendations from the group and began working with the appropriate units on the creation of implementation plans. As President Kaler stated in his March 2 State of the University address: "While the University has a strong and comprehensive approach to prevent and respond to sexual misconduct — with the guidance of our nation-leading Aurora Center — there is much more we can do and need to do, particularly in terms of education, training and advocacy."

The recommendations and supporting materials are here.
